Where is the purolator boss PBL11403? No review is complete with out it!

I buy my Yamaha royal star venture used. It had 30,000 miles on it, and it had K & N stock replacement air filters, there are two air filters on these machines. I have a video on my RUclips channel, Yamaha royal star venture major flaw is the title of it. In that video, I pointed out all the filth and dust inside my intake system. I was blaming that on loosefitting plumbing of the intake system to the carburetors. But it turned out to be the K and N Eric layers were leading all of that dirt in… I have another video pointing out what I would do if I were anyone watching the video that had KNN air filters in their machine. They may pass more air which they do in testing, but, they also let more than 10 times the dirt get in. A RUclipsr with a website called project farm prove that by sifting flour into a box with a vacuum below the box, pulling air through the filters in a comparison with a meter that measured particulates that go through the filters. The K and N oiled air filter was the one that passed the most air, and the most Particulates

But does it void the warranty? Yea or no? Lol

I'm ordering the 430. Any supporting mods you recommend? How hard is the install?

Didn't think would work but it did! Engine light is gone and drive modes back after low battery troubles.

As soon as I saw Mahle and Mann case closed for me I live by the outstanding quality and performance by Mann I am beyond shocked the people for real use a fram oil filter $1 from Walmart in these cars never in hell could I do that

Great review! I have been trying to figure out which pad to get for this street/sprited driving for my new 4 piston bbk. I was comparing amongst many of those companies you mentioned and the Powerstop Z23 seem to be the best all around pad. As you said, it also comes down to tire grip as well paired with the pads. I talked to a few others and they said it's held up on the Tail of the Dragon and another on track. I also read on a Mazda 6 forum a guy AutoX/tracked the Z23 and they held up great. If I find the Z23 fade, then I will proceed with getting track oriented pads or just get track pads to swap.

The only issue here is the surface area is only a factor depending on what it can capture and what it lets through. Need more than a visual test to determine which media is the best.

The video could be misleading. You need to show whether the filters were oiled as required. The video seems like the filters were dry, which is not the right way to use these filters

I like what I see regarding the Mahle filter but when I search I can only find Mahle filters made in Mexico, not Austria. Can you steer me in the right direction, maybe share where you're buying Austrian produced Mahle? Thanks

I am thinking of getting this petrol version but i make 700 km trips regularly. How much does it drink at 120/130 kmh? The diesel version seems underpowered

An absolute life saver 👍👍🫡🫡. Dead battery on my Stelvio Quadrifoglio- tons of warning codes!! Battery recharged and reconditioned, did the start/stop, accessories press x7, steering wheel left and right and bingo, codes gone, mode selector working as it should and engine warning light off. 👌👌🫡🫡👍👍

Conclusion. Stay with the paperfilter. They still doing the job good enough. But change them every year.

Why didn't you do a 0-60 before and after adding JB4?

For clarity, I would rename this video as "C8 Dashboard's Performance Timer" and not the PDR. They are two different things. The 2LT, 3LT have a PDR video with a timer overlay that provides times that, many times, differ from the dashboard's Performance Timer. That said, they are both inaccurate and sometimes off by 0.3 seconds when compared to the Dragy. I cannot explain why two timers (dashboard performance timer, and the PDR's video timer) on the same car would produce different times. There are two standard timings for 0-60mph, One with a 1-foot rollout, and one without. Car and Driver, Motor Trend rate cars including the C8 with the 1-foot rollout. The 1-foot rollout time is also used at NHRA drag strips. Even though the Dashboard timer and the PDR video times are inaccurate, they are more close to the 1-ft rollout. The Dragy DRG70 models do show both the 0-60 with and without the 1-ft rollout. There is also PC Windows Cosworth Toolbox software that reads the PDR's mp4 video file and accurately will show the 0-60 without rollout. Another PC Windows PI Toolbox software allows you to analyze a Launch run to 1/100th of a second and you can determine accurate the 0-60 times with and without the 1-ft rollout that is as accurate and very comparable to the Dragy times reported. I have found the difference is normally between 0.033s and 0.12. It is hard to say which is more accurate between the Dragy and the PI Toolbox calculations since they are both both based on GPS and subject to errors based on the number of satellites and other factors. Many factors are involved to obtain good times. Things like weight and number of passengers, road surface, type of tires, road temps, tire temps, and fluid temps, Altitude, Density Altitude, and fuel levels and octane. Some ask if anyone has 0-60 numbers under 3 seconds for their C8. Car and Driver has rated the C8 Z51 Coupe at 2.8s. The heavier C8 Z51 with summer tires is rates at 3.0. My heavy, Non-Z51 C8 HTC with the performance exhaust and all season tires has clocked 2.95s confirmed by both the Dragy and the PDR data using the PI Toolbox software. I have clocked 3.0 seconds with two heavy passengers. None of these numbers are based on the Dashboard timer or the PDR's Video displayed times. They are based on Dragy and the PI Toolbox.

Was the K&N treated with the oil before you tested it? If not, that could make all the difference with its ability to filter finer particulates.

Not working at all. Recently had my bumper replaced and ever since I've had issues but nothing at all beforehand not a single code. Im legitimately considering selling it it's ridiculous
